PiliotTrack 88b Beacon compatible with Ditch Witch 750/752 Tracker HDD Locator Details:
PilotTrack beacon is designed to work with both HDD 750 and 752 Tracker locator. The beacon uses 29 kHz frequency to send information and data back to the HDD locator. The data includes transmitter temperature, roll angle, pitch, battery charge and details locating info. Durable tracking beacon, the 88B, has a shock-resistant composite casing, a bigger antenna, and stronger battery springs to reduce the occurrence of sporadic signals. If paired with the 752 Tracker, the 88B is capable of sending signals from depths ranging between 0.3 to 50 feet (0.1 to 15.2 m). However, for deeper drilling operations, the 86BH can provide accurate readings from depths up to 70 feet (21.3 m) or even more.
The transmitter features a compact size with 11.5 inch length and 0.9 inch width. It requires a specific size Ditch Witch® HDD drill head to operate. The maximum operating depth is 30 ft, but may vary depending on ground conditions and any interference around a jobsite.
88B Beacon Recommendations:
For best results, always check the 88b sonde operation and complete calibration before every bore. Your HDD Tracker 705/752 also requires calibration to 29 kHz frequency for locating beacons to work properly. During calibration, avoid areas with high interference typically caused by power lines, rebar, and cell phone towers.
